Print Design for Appalachian Mountain Club

The Client: Appalachian Mountain Club is a nonprofit dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the outdoors. I worked as an in-house designer at AMC for three years, collaborating with cross-organization teams on social media, print pieces, and more.

Major Projects: Shortly before I started at AMC, the organization rebranded, so I contributed to applying that new brand to their existing materials. Additionally, I contributed many merch designs to their online store. Finally, I created print designs such as the annual report and quarterly magazine.

Collaborators: Art Direction: Taylor Mugford, Senior Designer: Jon Lavalley, Photography: Paula Champagne.

The AMC Brand

The AMC brand embraces a range of warm and bright colors, and features human-centered photography.

Merch Design

When creating merch designs, my process was to create a series of rough designs and then pick a few to refine and make into merchandise. Out of this series, ‘good hiking’ was our favorite design.

NH48

One merch piece I really enjoyed creating is this poster series for the 48 Mountains in New Hampshire above 4000’, known as the NH48.

Donor Reports

Each year I created a bold, unique print piece showcasing AMC’s accomplishments in the past year.
